Our Story
In the early 1950s Mario Ricci began his marble processing business in a small workshop in Riccione, Rimini.
In 1954 he established the first marble sawmill in the area in Ravenna. Seven years later there are three sand-fueled multi-blade looms that, day and night, cut marble 365 days a year.
In the late 1970s, the first automatic control systems for sawing were tested and fine-tuned at the sawmill, which revolutionized granite cutting technology worldwide.
Beginning in the 1980s, Mario Ricci became one of the few companies that, starting from the raw block, had all the necessary machinery in-house to be able to transform marble, stone, and granite into slabs and finished products.
We have been applying our experience in stone processing to porcelain stoneware for a few years now, collaborating with leading companies in the field.
